Cripple Creek, Colo., 1987 - 1992

 Sub-Series — Box: OSBCHI-C-100-1, Folder: 21

Scope and Contents

Unlike many of the other towns in this series, the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago never taught summer schools of religion in Cripple Creek, Colorado, but many children who attended vacation schools lived in the town. This sub-series contains several pamphlets on the history of Cripple Creek and other memorabilia from an archive trip Sr. Vivian Ivantic, OSB, and Sr. Eleanore Hillenbrand, OSB, took to Colorado in 1991. Also included is an Archive Newsletter written by Sr. Vivian Ivantic, OSB, not long after the two returned to Chicago, Illinois.
