Biographical / Historical
From their base at St. Joseph Church in Salida, Sister Vivian Ivantic, OSB, Sister Eleanore Hillenbrand, OSB, and Sister Jeanne Hegarty, OSB looked into the history of the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago service at St. Joseph Church and School. They also journeyed to Westcliffe, a town where Sisters offered summer religious education courses. Several Benedictine Sisters are native to the area around Westcliffe and the Archives Newsletters and photographs help to document that connection.
