Included are her reflections on helping Vietnamese families in Chicago in the 1970s, correspondence and writings related to her role as a administrator at St. Joseph's Convent in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1967-1969 as appointed by the Holy See, papers related to her family, general correspondence, and more.

Scope and Contents While Sister Frances Knapp was one of the founding Sisters of the Chicago community, she only remained at the Saint Scholastica Priory for less than a year, from 1861-1862. Because of this, no original material is held in this collection of her personal papers. Within this collection of felt banners there is a set of banners made for the church year, banners with phrases associated with the church and encouraging faith, and banners with religious symbols. Common symbols in this collection include the white dove, the Chi Ro symbol, and the symbols for the Lord's Supper like wheat, grapes, and a chalice. Sister Georgine created banners throughout her life using a combination of felt and burlap.
