Scope and Contents

Included in this collection are photographs of Sister Georgine throughout her lifetime, including those taken while she was a young student at St. Scholastica Academy. Photographs also show many of her banners. Other artwork present in her file includes her work with calligraphy and small felt works. Personal data in this collection includes a next of kin list, newspaper articles, correspondences, education credentials and certificates, obituaries, and worship aids.

The collection includes a personal data sheet, vows written in German for 1868 and 1871, two notations by Sister Geraldine Stock, OSB indicating sister's ministry as a seamstress. Also included are a number of obituaries, a golden jubille prayer card and an archival newsletter listing.

This record-keeping spirit extended to what she was taught in her early days in the community, her teaching materials, copious notes on yearly retreats held at the monastery, and correspondence from friends and family.
